While adhering to some traditional colors of Soul and R&B music, Daniel and his Brooklyn based partner, Quinn "Dr. Q" McCarthy have been sculpting a new and individual sound with their latest recording project. The setting: The Creamery Studios. Vibing on the inspiration of timeless favorites like Shuggie Otis and the industrial feel of surrounding Greenpoint in Brooklyn, NYC, the two have carved an electrifying musical landscape for the albums themes about inner-reflexion and isolation, as well as love and friendship. After a year full of diverse creative projects, Daniel is back in Brooklyn NYC, where he and Quinn McCarthy, aka "Dr. Q" are busy producing their newest album. Listeners can be excited to hear that the new music is an innovative departure from the previous Steppin' To You EP. However, the soulful groove and lyrics that go deep down to the core remain. On Sunday, March 20, 2010, Daniel will join the ORSO Symphony Orchestra for "Rock Symphony Night" in Berlin, Germany. Along with 7 soloists, which include American blues singer, Brenda Boykin, German musical star, Isabel Dörfler, and renowned Scottish singer and actor, Dirk Johnston, Daniel will sing Pop, Rock, and Jazz hits at the world famous Friedrichstadtpalast. The ORSO symphony orchestra is comprised of 200 talented singers and musicians under the direction of conductor, Wolfgang Roese. The concert promises enjoyment for all age groups. Daniel will be singing Dvorak's Requiem with the ORSO Philharmonic this weekend (March 12th) in Freiburg and next weekend (March 19th) in Berlin! Hopefully some of you will have a chance to experience the sound of this vibrant 200 piece ensemble led by Wolfgang Roese. With soloists Fenna Ograjensek (Soprano), Anja Jung (Alto), Gunnar Schierreich (Tenor) and Daniel Dodd-Ellis (Bass), the ORSOphilharmonic will present one of Dvorak's seldom performed works. Directors, Wolfgang Piontek and David Brückel and Choreographers, Henrik Kaalund und Minako Seki, collaborate with Daniel and six other multi-talented performers to birth this riveting new performance piece. Rooted in surrealism, the creation of the piece is based on the principle of "le cadavre exquis" in which each director and choreographer continues the creative process without knowing what the others have done before. Funk & Soul Night No. 1

On Saturday, September 25th, Daniel emceed and performed at the successful Hamburg charity gala, "Funk & Soul Night No. 1" at Prototyp Museum. Over 50,000 Euros were raised in an evening, which included performances by former Supremes members, Scherri Payne and Lynda Laurence. Also on stage were disco legend, George McCrae and German soul singers, Oceana, Ole Soul, and Regy Clasen. All proceeds went to Innocence and Danger e.V, whose President, Baroness Stephanie Guttenberg, patroned the event. Also in attendance were German Defense Minister, Dr. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, Innocence in Danger CEO Julia von Weiler, organizers Dan Dombrowe, Marietta Andreae, and Hubertus von Frankenberg, and many members of Germany's high society.

Bonifatius Musical 23.07-08.08.2010 in Fulda

Bonifatius - Das Musical, voted "Musical of the Year" in 2005-6 by viewers and critics will be playing from July 23 - August 8, 2010 in Schlosstheater Fulda with Daniel reprising the role of pagan prince and Boniface's rival, Radbod. This awe-inspiring show chronicles Boniface's (Reinhard Brussman) mission to Germania and his struggle to end corruption within the church. Together with Bishop Gewilip (Christian Schöne), Radbod attempts to abruptly end Boniface's plans. For his vocal and stage performance, Daniel was critically acclaimed in 2006. Daniel once again took to the stage as Master of Ceremonies and topped it off with a powerhouse performance with his 7 piece band and backing vocalists, Jonas and Nena. Combining elements of Blues, Rock-n-Roll, Soul, and Hip Hop, Daniel and band set off an memorable earthquake on the Modern & Nu Soul Floor.
